Coming back home after living on your own for a while can be quite a shock.
This is my journey of thoughts & epiphanies on why I left in the first place :
5) My laundry is magically done: Clean, dry and ironed.
Bonus: Folded and in the closet.
- Why did I wanna leave home in the first place ?
4) Food is free. Food is well cooked. Food smells good. Food is ready at specific times AND does not come in a box!
- Still don't get why I ever wanted to leave.
3) My dad wakes me up everyday - Sunday included at 8 a.m.
"The early bird catches the worm".
Not in my world dad, in mine this bird dies of food poisoning.
- Oh yeah, I'm starting to remember why I left!
2) Watching your favorite TV show is a special mission.
Between mum, dad, two brothers and a sister, agreeing on a program sounds more like the Strategic Arms Limitation Talks during the Cold War than a friendly discussion of 5 minutes.
- Wait a minute, who needs a TV when we have TV Replays online and Streaming websites.
Is free cable even worth it?
1) Regressing: Being 16 again and having a curfew.
Because apparently real ladies do not get back home after 3 a.m.
Well I did ask my dad where does he think I should go instead of coming back home…
He did not laugh. Not even smile.
I'm hurt! Silly me thought I was funny!
0) My mum is trying somehow to re-attach our umbilical cord.
Do I need to add anything else?
...
I seriously need to find a job!
